This morning I listened to Dr Martin Luther King Jr’s 1967 speech “Beyond Vietnam – A Time to Break Silence.” It made me realize again what an immense loss we suffered when he was killed one year later. Dr King’s extraordinary leadership, eloquence, and vision stand in sharp contrast (more…)

Zack set his alarm for 6:00 AM on the last Saturday of Christmas break. Anticipating the return to school after a two-week vacation, he wanted to remember what it’s like to wake up early – then he slept for a couple more hours. We talked with friends in Ghana a few days ago about the current American political landscape. In addition to their own important work, these dear ones also keep us informed about useful developments in technology, and even occasionally provide us with technical support. Help sometimes comes from unexpected places… And though we live in the US, they often have bigger and clearer pictures of what’s going on here.
